Facebook Releases A Lite Version Of Its Mobile Application

As our high-tech hardware becomes more powerful and their applications more sophisticated, the developers neglect to optimize their software: for example, Facebook for iOS consumes more than 70Mo.

Which is probably why Facebook released Facebook Lite, a super lightweight version of its mobile application. It's designed to run on any type of material regardless of network conditions. 

The application is about 252KB in size and it should work even on devices with very low processing power and slow 2G connections. It's available in eight countries: Bangladesh, Vietnam, Nigeria, Nepal, South Africa, Sudan, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe.
